Fletcher (Staff) -- Harry E[dward] Roll, 72, an Elgin[, Oklahoma] area farmer...[who moved] here in 1960, died Saturday [13 Jan 1968] in a Lawton[, Oklahoma] hospital after a brief illness.
He was born [on] March 30, 1895 in Payne, Ohio and moved to Oklahoma in 1908. He attended Fletcher High School and an Oklahoma City business college.
Mr. Roll was married to Artie E. [Artimesia Elma] Littlefield at Cement[, Oklahoma] on May 19, 1919. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Nelson [of] Garland, Tex[as] and John [of] Elgin[, Oklahoma]; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Hammond...[of] Lawton[, Oklahoma]; a brother, Lawrence Roll [of] Montgomery, Ala[bama]; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm [on] Monday [15 Jan 1968] in the First Baptist Church [in] Fletcher[, Oklahoma]. Rev. A. L. Swagerty, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Jim Cook, pastor of the Fletcher First Christian Church. Burial will be in [the] Fletcher Cemetery under [the] direction of Dalton Funeral Home.
