Betty J. Olsen, 76, of Muncy, died Saturday, June 29, at the Muncy Skilled Nursing Unit at the Muncy Hospital.

Born in Milton on Oct. 20, 1936, she was the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Farnsworth) Leon. She was married to Karl W. Olsen for 22 years until his death in 1993.

Betty was a people person and enjoyed spending time with the residents and staff at the nursing facility. She loved animals and children and greeted everyone with a smile.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara A. Brown and her husband Karl of Montoursville; a grandson, Bryant Edward Brown and his wife, Melissa of Williamsport; a great-granddaughter, Aurora Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, July 5, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the Lycoming County, SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
