City's Oldest Architect and Best Known Contractor and Builder

Many of the best homes and newest business blocks in this city are the product of plans prepared by Mr. A. D. Wolverton, the city's oldest architect and contractor. Many years residence here has given Mr. Wolverton a grasp of local conditions that makes him a valuable man to the builder.

For the past few months Mr. Wolverton has been specializing on homes and some of the illustrations appearing in this issue are Mr. Wolverton's work. The Dream theatre was planned and erected under his direction, and the structure not only lends a metropolitan air to the down town district but is especially adapted for the purpose for which it was erected. At the present time Mr. Wolverton is rushed with work, having the plans and specifications under way for the new telephone building, a view of which appears elsewhere in this issue.

Mr. Wolverton is essentially a city builder. He has been a factor in the contracting business in this city, and the reputation that Angeles is gaining for beautiful homes can be given in a large measure to Mr. Wolverton. He is progessive and has always taken an active part in the city's civic affairs."
