Gary Dale Weeks was born July 4, 1957 in Savannah, Tennessee the son of Wanna Mae Martin and the late Elvin Jarvis Weeks.

He was united in marriage to Nancy Carol Knight on July 31, 1987.

Mr. Weeks was a co-owner M & G Sawmill. Before opening M & G Sawmill, he worked at Aquaglass in Adamsville. He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church. He also served as a member of the McNairy County Democratic Nominating Committee. He was a very loving and big-hearted person who was full of laughter and enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved his family and always wanted them to be together. He was happiest when his grandson Johnny was in his arms.

Mr. Weeks departed this life on February 2, 2010 in Enville, Tennessee at the age of 52 Years, 6 Months, 29 Days. He is survived by his wife Nancy Carol (Knight) Weeks of Enville, TN; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Weeks) Burkeens and husband Jeff of Enville, TN; mother, Wanna Mae (Martin) Weeks of Bethel Springs, TN; two sisters, Barbara June Ward of Selmer, TN, Myra Jean Brooks and husband Bryan of Selmer, TN; a brother, Malcolm Lynn Weeks of Enville, TN;a grandson, Jonathan William Burkeens; father and mother-in-law Bud and Nell Knight of Bolivar, TN; 5 sisters-in-law; 8 brothers-in-law; 20 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by grandparents Alfie Newton and Mary Frances (Harris) Weeks and James Franklin and Bertie Lee (Wilson) Martin and one brother-in-law.

Nancy Knight Weeks was born May 18, 1960 in Clewiston, FL the daughter of Buford (Bud) and Mary Nell Griswell Knight.

She was united in marriage to Gary Dale Weeks on July 31, 1987. Mr. Weeks preceded her in death on February 2, 2010, following 22 years of marriage.

Nancy graduated from Bolivar Central High School. Following graduation, she attended college and earned a degree in Nursing. Nancy worked as a Registered Nurse for Hardin Medical Center Home Health in Savannah. She loved to dance, and enjoyed riding her four-wheeler, swimming, fishing, and just being outdoors.

Nancy loved to find a good bargain, and was the ultimate do-it-yourselfer, always working on a project. She loved animals and was a Christian. Nancy's favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandson Johnny, whom she loved very much.

Nancy departed this life on September 8, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 53 Years, 3 Months, 21 Days.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Burkeens and husband Jeff of Enville, TN; a grandchild, Johnny Burkeens of Enville, TN; her parents, Buford (Bud) and Mary Nell Griswell Knight of Bolivar, TN; three sisters: Brenda Dabbs and husband Mitchell of Bartlett, TN, Melba Allen and husband Roger of Bolivar, TN, and Peggy Turner and husband Kim of Silerton, TN; two brothers, Matt Knight and wife Dana of Bolivar, TN and Howard Knight and wife Lisa of Lakeland, TN; her best friend, Freida Treece of Adamsville, TN; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.

Services will be held on September 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Chuck Castles officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Enville, Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
