ANSLEY — Dale F. Krueger, 55, of Ansley, formerly of Gibbon, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at home after a lengthy illness.

Private burial services will be held at a later date.

Godberson Mortuary of Gibbon and Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow are in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Krueger was born June 9, 1947, at Holdrege to Dale A. and Victoria (Fluman) Krueger. He grew up in the Loup City, Shelton and Gibbon areas, graduating from Gibbon High School in 1965. He attended Kearney State College for two years.

He married Nita Keup on Feb. 14, 1967, in White River, S.D. The couple lived in Gibbon until moving to Ansley in 1995. He was employed at Ace Irrigation for 14 years and then managed Northwest Electric for many years. When he moved to Ansley, he was employed by Ansley Public School until ill health forced his retirement.

He was a member of Gibbon Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad and Gibbon Jaycees. He was a charter member of Gibbon Ball Association. He also coached Pony League and Legion baseball for many years.

Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Laura of Loup City; a daughter, Angela Kounovsky of Kearney; five grandchildren; his mother and stepfather, W.D. and Victoria Whitley of Bullhead City, Ariz.; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Roland of Muncy, Pa., Albert and Carol of Gibbon and Thomas of Lincoln; and five sisters, Kerry Marlatt of Kearney, Nell Woodring of Muncy, Pa., Virginia Wilarski of Golden, Colo., Ella Smith of Kingville, Texas, and Adeline Bashaw of Estacada, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.
