Services Held for Lois Kernodle

Lois Littlefield was born in Fletcher, Oklahoma, May 5, 1917, the fourth child of Custer and Zula Littlefield. She was raised and educated in Fletcher. She passed away Sept. 30, 1985, after a lengthy illness, being 68 years of age.

She was married to Harold B. Kernodle in Duncan, Oklahoma November 10, 1934. They lived in Fletcher a few years after which they moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1938, where they have resided since.

She was the deeply devoted wife of Harold Kernodle for over 50 years. She was very active in many church organizations at St. Luke's Church in Dallas, as well as in P.T.A., Charity, political and Camp Fire organizations. She was also a member of the Lawton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In 1980 she retired from Parkland Hospital after 19 years of employment.


She was the mother of two children, Nina and H. B. She was an untiring Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Most of all she was an untiring friend to all whose path she ever crossed.

Lois is survived by her husband, Harold, of the home; her son, H. B., also of Dallas; her daughter Nina Farley, Carrollton, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, all of Dallas; 1 sister, Mrs. Jessie L. Ellis, and 1 brother, Luther E. Littlefield, both of Fletcher; and many relatives and friends, who bid her farewell for now.

Services for Mrs. Kernodle were held at 2:30 p.m. October 2nd at Restland Memorial Chapel, with interment in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
