Obituary:

Lee M. Johnson, 84, a resident of 1842 Exchange Road, Turbotville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in the Geisinger Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Unityville, Lycoming County, PA, on Monday, December 4, 1922, he was the son of the late Elmer and Ida (Reese) Johnson.

He was the widower of Anna E. (Robbins) Johnson who preceded him in death on April 11, 1989.

Lee served during the Second World War with the U.S. Army in the Asian-Pacific Theatre.

He was retired from the West Co. at Montgomery, PA. He was also a full time farmer.

Lee was a devoted John Deer tractor enthusiast and enjoyed talking politics and joking around. He was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by one daughter, Ruth A. Stump, Turbotville, PA; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Gloria Johnson, Turbotville, PA; four grandchildren, Jody Banks; Tammy Koch; Eunice Stump; Robert L. Johnson; two brothers, Lester Johnson, Hughesville, PA; Paul Johnson, Turbotville, PA; one sister, Florence Paolino, Cape Coral, FL. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Johnson; one brother, Hurley Johnson; five sisters, Margaret Edquist, Ruth Lorrow, Dorothy Snyder, Edna McGarvey, Emma Miller.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 4, 2007. Interment will be in the Muncy Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

"Mrs. Lee M. Johnson
MUNCY - Mrs. Anna E. Johnson, 63, wife of Lee M. Johnson, of Turbotville RD 1, Moreland Twp., died at 5 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 11, 1989, at her home.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Folmer Lutheran Church, Milton RD.

She ahd her husband would have observed their 43rd wedding anniversary on April 22.

Born in Greenwood Twp., Columbia County, on April 15, 1925, she was a daughter of Irvin J. and Grace Opp Robbins.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Ronald E., and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth A. Stump, both of Turbotville RD 1; a brother, Jessie Junior Robbins, of Milton, three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Betzer's, 108 North Main Street, with the Rev. Phillip Zimmerman, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Muncy Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday."
