Harry William Zurcher, 84 of Terre Haute, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Saturday May, 12, 2007, in Union Hospital. He was born on April 21, 1923, in Coalmont to Carl Zurcher and Susie Unger Hickenbotham.. He worked at Thompson Simon of Terre Haute for 28 years and then retired from Keller Crescent of Evansville, Ind., after 10 years of service. Harry was a deacon of the Seelyville United Methodist Church, a Boy Scout leader, a passionate bowler and basketball fan all of his life. He took pride in his family, and his home, and he loved his garden. He was a great husband, father, and friend who loved his family and will be missed by all.. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Thelma Jean Jeffers Zurcher; three sons, Mark Zurcher and his wife Dana of Scottsdale, Ariz., Rick Zurcher and his wife Amy of Terre Haute, and Ronnie Zurcher and wife Rachel of Las Vegas; a daughter, Susanne Zurcher; 12 grandchildren, Kristin Zurcher, Katherine Zurcher, Kurt Zurcher, Craig Zurcher, Kylee Zurcher, Britany Ellison, Arna Zurcher, Augie Zurcher, Tyler Zurcher, Mackenzie Zurcher, Morgan Zurcher, and Branden Fehn. Survivors also include a large family of Jeffers and Tanners, and many nieces and nephews.. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be at noon in the funeral home with the Rev. and friend, Pete Lasko. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
