Former Resident of Paxinos Passes Away Following an Operation
Was Graduate of Bucknell University
FUNERAL THURSDAY AT REED STATION
It was with sincere regret that residents of Paxinos and elsewhere learned yesterday of the death of Mrs. Belva Holdren Lupton, wife of Robert Lupton, Which occurred Monday evening in the Phillipsburg State Hospital following maternity thru the medium of an emergency operation. Belva, daughter of George and the late Gussie Miller Holdren, was born at Paxinos, July 16, 1901. After receiving her early education in the rural schools, the estimable young woman was graduated from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, and later from Grand River Institute, in Ohio. Her marriage to Mr. Lupton occurred some time after at Phillipsburg. Mrs. Lupton was a woman of brilliant mental attainments, widely known, highly respected and a devout christian. Surviving are her father, husband and infant son, James Franklin Lupton.
The funeral is to be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Brick Lutheran Church, Reed's Station, with burial to be made in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery. Ministers from Philipsburg will accompany at the funeral cortege and officiate at the religious rites.
