Berta L. Myers, age 85yrs, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997 at 2:08 p.m. at Porter County Hospital, Valparaiso.
She was born Aug 4, 1911 to Byrd and Helen (Howard) Holbrock in Salyersville, Ky.
She married Clarence Estel Myers on Oct. 10, 1931 in Rensselaer, he survives.
Mrs. Myers was a member of The First Baptist Church, Wheatfield. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Jean (Larry) Wheeler, Valparaiso; a son Rex (Donna) Myers, Wheatfield; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Curtis Risner, Rensselaer; Mrs. Bessie Wynkoop, Crown point; three brothers, Lester (Lucille) Holbrook, Monticello; Glen Kathryn) Holbrook, Monticello, Gerald (Lou) Holbrook, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 3-9 p.m. Jan. 7, 1997 at Jackson Funeral Service of Demotte. Funeral Services will be at Jackson Fueral Service, Jan. 8, 1997 at 11 a.m. Burial will take place Jan. 8, 1997 in the Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Officiating clergyman is Pastor Donald Gear.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Wheatfield or to The American Heart Association.
