HIX -- Leslie James, age 87 of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008. He was born on November 14, 1920 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Earl and Patie Hix. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary in 1990. He married Lois Ruff on July 20, 1991. Mr. Hix was the owner and operator of Winrock Bakery in Albuquerque for many years. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. He was a current member of Risen Savior Catholic Community. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lois of Albuquerque; his children, Carol Detwiler and her husband David of Rio Rancho, Patricia Clark and her husband Chuck, Anita Trujillo and her husband Eddie, all of Albuquerque, Steven Hix and his wife Nancy of Citrus Heights, CA; nineteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; brothers: Marvin Hix and his wife Virginia of Pacific Junction., IA, Marion Hix and his wife Bobbie of Texas; sisters, Verona Robinson, Glenda King both of Decatur, AR. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday October 20, 2008 at Risen Savior Catholic Community Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
