"Ged Mitzman Obituary
Ged Mitzman, 42, loving husband of Elizabeth (Hinrins) Mitzman, died as a result of an auto accident Saturday, (October 12, 2002) in Bolton. Born in Bellefonte, PA, of Nancy Jane (Kerk) Mitzman of Blue Point, NY and George Edward Dyke, and was predeceased by his stepfather, the late Norman "Bud" Mitzman, he lived in Hauppauge, Long Island, NY, prior to moving to Vernon. He was a former supervisor for the New England Dairy and the Marcus Dairy. Ged was a graduate of Herkimer Community College and received his Bachelors degree from New York State University in Oswego, in Anthropology. Ged and his wife were active in the Home Schooling Community of Conn. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves three loved children, Molly, Kendra, and Rayna Mitzman, all at home; his sister, Susan Collins; and many nephews and nieces. He was also predeceased by a brother, Benjamin. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 17, 11 a.m. in the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpke., Glastonbury. Burial of his cremated remains will be following a church service at St. James Episcopal Church, St. James LI, NY at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 19. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mitzmans' Children Fund, Fleet Bank, 243 Hartford Tpke., Vernon, CT, 06066.
