Artemus (A.D.),Mary Elizabeth (Betty), Lena, Reggie, Paul, Arthur, Layton, and Walter were all children of Bird Allen and Ann Elizabeth Shelton from Grayson County, Texas.

Large Crowd Attends Service Sunday:

Funeral services for A.D.Shelton, 59 years old, were conducted at the First Baptist Church at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with Rev. J.H.Plunkett of Gould officiating, assisted by Rev. C.E. Wilbanks.
Interment was made in Riverside cemetery, under the direction of the Greer Funeral Hone. Pall bearers were W.M. Willams, Bradley Pigg, C.R. Cristwell, B.H. Squire, B.E. Darby and R.V. Short.
A large crowd of friends and relatives of Mr. Shelton attended the funeral service to pay tribute to one of the county's most highly respected pioneer citizens.
Mr. Shelton passed away Saturday morning after a serious illness of only a few days duration
A native of Grayson county Texas, he came to Greer county 33 years ago, locating in the Fairview community, nine miles south of Mangum.
He is survived by his widow, one son, Gordon Shelton, and a grandson, Ned Shelton, two sisters, Mrs Walter Pruett, Norman, and Mrs. Lena McQueen, Stratford, Texas, and four brothers, Walter, Arthur, Reggie, and Paul Shelton, all of Gould.
