Michael Vernon Goodman, 29, of Woodstock, Virginia, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Gospel Church in Maurertown. Pastor Larry Cook will officiate. Burial will follow in Union Forge Cemetery in Edinburg.

Mr. Goodman was born May 15, 1986 in Woodstock, VA, son of Lisa Goodman Gilbert of Baltimore, MD and the late Robert Michael Copenhaver.

He was employed at Woodpark Lane Trailer Park and formerly worked as a courier for the Northern Virginia Daily.

Surviving, along with his mother, are his wife, Donna J. Goodman and three children, Zachary Goodman, Autumn Goodman and Leah Goodman; and step dad, Scott Gilbert, and grandmother, Melody Blackmon, both of Baltimore.

Contributions may be made to the Go Fund Me Account that has been set up or to Michael Goodman Burial Fund at 157 N. Main Street, Woodstock, VA 22664.

An obituary was published in the Northern Virginia Daily on Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
