Florence E. Hardy, 91, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009, at Hamilton Arms Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose Overmyer Wilkinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd V. Hardy.

Mrs. Hardy was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by a son, Gregory L., husband of Nancy Hardy, of Geneva FL; two daughters: Sharon E., wife of Frederick Dommel, of Lancaster, and Jenny R. Hardy of Whittier, NC; six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by three sisters, and one brother.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at 11:00 AM from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. 414 East King Street, Lancaster, with Msgr. Thomas H. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Ste A100, 630 Janet Ave, Lancaster, PA 17602. Arrangements by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. (Lancaster Newspapers, 3/15/2009)
