Othel Kenneth Jackson, Jr.

Othel Kenneth Jackson, Jr., 59, of Winona died Monday afternoon, December 12, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson after a brief illness. Mr. Jackson was a native of Hammond, Ind., member of Winona Presbyterian Church, member of Winona VFW, American Legion and a World War II Veteran and was employed as a supervisor at Screw Conveyor.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Harriett Lawson Jackson of Winona; his father, Othel K. Jackson, Sr., of Hammond, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Penny Rich of Winona; two sons, Dennis Edward Jackson of Greenville and Kenneth Albert Jackson of Wexford, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Dobrowolski of Hammond, Ind.; one brother, Robert D. Jackson of Highland, Ind; 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Harold Richardson at Oliver Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 14. Burial was in Winona Garden of Memory with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were John Blake, Jake Harris, Jack Diette, H. M. Bridges, Martin Matthews and Don Abraham.

Honorary pallbearers were Ennis Bailey, Bud Hinkley, Joe Ricks, Charlie Upchurch, David Miller, Sr., Harvey Carlson, Dr. William A. Middleton, E. C. Parson and Pete Bailey.

Harriett E. Jackson

Mrs. Harriett E. Jackson, age 82, of Hammond, IN, formerly of Winona passed away on June 1, 2003. Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home was charge of the funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Jackson was a resident of Winona and employed as a nurse at Tyler Holmes Hospital before moving to Hammond. Her husband was a former supervisor at Screw Conveyor in Winona.

Survivors include her daughter, Penny (Richard) Rosko of Hammond, IN; two sons, Kenneth (Judy) Jackson of Wexford, PA and Dennis (O'Rell) Jackson of Plant City, FL; grandchildren, Kenna (Ronnie) Huffman and Kathy (Greg) Wenger of Winona; several other grandchildren from other states; great-grandchildren Max and Stephen Montgomery of North Carrollton and several from other regions; one niece and one nephew.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Othel K. Jackson, Jr.; one brother, Harold Grove; two sisters, Marjorie Brittain and Norma Wright; and her parents, Albert and Perna Groves.
