Donald Richard Sanders, 80, of Floydada, Texas, passed away on April 06, 2016.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Moore Rose Funeral Home Chapel with Earl McDonough officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Moore Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.

Mr. Sanders was born April 29, 1935 in Lorenzo, Texas to Otho and Ophelia (Bartlett) Sanders He graduated Floydada High School and married Nina Vee Grisham on February 12, 1960 in Plainview. He spent his working years drilling water wells. Anyone who knew him knows he loved to hunt, fish and play dominoes.

He was preceded in death by his brother Roger.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Vee of the home, two sons; Stanley Sanders of Floydada, Layne Sanders of Lubbock, two daughters; Regina Craddock and husband Bob of Levelland, Renee Staggs of Lubbock, a brother; Curtis Sanders and his wife Iva of Floydada, a sister; Martha Sargent of Austin, Texas, and a granddaughter ; Hayley Craddock of Levelland.

Memorial gifts can be given in Richard's name to the American Cancer Society 3411 73rd St. Lubbock, Texas 79423.
