Obituary: Jefferson City Post-Tribune, Thursday, May 27, 1999

Babe Ruth Patterson, 77, Ulman, died May 25, 1999, as a result of a drowning accident on the Osage River. He was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Ulman, a son of J.W. and Ruth Graves Peterson. He was married July 25, 1946, in Marseilles, France, to Georgette Anna Gouteyron, who survives at the home. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Ulman Christian Church.

Other survivors include: six brothers, Warren Patterson and William Wendell Patterson, both of Tuscumbia, Donald Patterson, Maurice Patterson and Marvin Patterson, all of Ulman, and Harold Patterson, Caulfield; and two sisters, Elsie Yates, Osage Beach, and Carolyn Pryor, Eldon.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Jim McGowin and the Rev. Larry Schraer will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Jackson Cemetery, near Ulman. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday. Memorials are suggested to Jackson Cemetery.

Georgetta A. Patterson, 78, of Ulman died Monday, May 19, 2003 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. She was born May 24, in France to Gabriel and Julienne Saleihae Gouteyron. On July 25, 1946, she was married in Marseille, France, to Babe R. Patterson, who died May 21, 1999.

Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Ulman First Christian Church.

Surviving her are a sister, Elizabeth Luguet, two nieces and a nephew, all of France.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Schraer officiating. Burial was in Jackson Cemetery near Ulman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
