Sherry Crile (Kelley) Giesel was born January 23, 1940 to Preston C. Kelley and Bess (William) Kelley. Sherry passed away February 8, 2010 in Meritcare Hospital, Fargo. Sherry grew up in Highmore, SD, marrying Willard (Bill) H. Giesel on April 14, 1956. To this union, four daughters were born. Sherry loved cooking, baking, and doing crafts. She had various jobs but her most joyous one was being president of her senior club at University Drive Manor in Fargo, ND. She took it very seriously. They did various things to raise money and keep everyone busy. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
Sherry is survived by her children, Dawn Rushdan, West Memphis, AK, Sonia (Dan) Sullivan, Moorhead MN, Heather (Dan) Matheny, Lowell OH, Babe Giesel, Huron SD, grandchildren; Travis Matheny, Fargo ND, Marcelino Jr. Gomez, Oxnard CA, Monica Maestas, CA, Rachel Maestas, CA, Ashlea Herfindahl, Moorhead MN, Cory Sullivan, Moorhead MN, great-grandson, Mason Jensen, Hawley MN, Alyssa Maestas, CA. Sherry is preceded in death by 4 sisters, Marvel Dorethey, Ruth Jean Elliott, Martina Christenson, Phyliss Kenison, her parents, beloved uncle, Sam Williams, and late husband Bill Giesel. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, February 11 at 1:00 in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Visitation will begin at 12:00am. There will be a memorial service in Highmore SD at a later date.
