Randy Wolverton, 54, of Lake Odessa, passed away Sept. 26, 1998, at Spectrum Health - Downtown Campus. He was born Aug. 13, 1944, the son of Richard E. and Pauline B. (First) Wolverton.

He married Linda Fredricks on July 27, 1968.

Hegraduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1962 and was on the Board of Directors of Ionia County Bank.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Wolverton; daughters, Lisa (Brady) Peterson of Beach, N.D., Diane (Nathan) Sprague of Lake Odessa; and son, Bob (Rhonda) Wolverton of Lake Odessa; grandson, Timothy Peterson; his parents; sisters, Joan(Vern) Slager of Kalamazoo, and Kerrie (Jim) Idema of Grandville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Wolverton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, with the Rev. Emmett Kadwell officiating. Visitation is scheduled for today 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wolverton family.
