"Louis W. Wolverton, 70, of 1824 Seventh St. died of a heart attack Saturday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery,

Mr. Wolverton was born in Kokomo, Ind., and moved to Des Moines in 1949. He retired as an account technician for the Polk County auditor's office and was a Navy veteran and member of the American Veterans Association.

Among survivors are six daughters, Druscha Kincaid of Pleasanton, Calif., Valerie Schmidt of Holt, Mo., Rebecca McGurn of Lathrop, Mo., Elyse Wolverton of Kansas City, Mo., Mary Moling of Butler, Mo., and Carrie Mentink of Lees Summit, Mo.; two sons, Robert of Lees Summit, and Christopher of Liberty, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home."
