Clyde Franklin Flawd, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday November 27th, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Judy (Hayes) Flawd. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this past June.

Clyde was a retired Mail Handler for the United States Post Office.

Born August 28th, 1931 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry Flawd Sr. and E. Dorothy (Shoemaker) Flawd Snyder. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and reached the rank of Quartermaster Third Class. Clyde enjoyed camping with family and friends, and watching his Grandchildren play High School sports.

His lifelong passion was his beloved Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

Surviving besides his wife Judy, are his children: his son David Flawd married to Condessa, of Lancaster and his daughter Tracey, wife of Gary Heistand of Lancaster. He is also survived by his brother Harry Flawd Jr. married to
Dorothy, of Willow Street, and his sister Esther Ulmer of Lancaster. He is also survived by his Grandchildren Darren Flawd and Mariah Flawd who called him "Pap," as well as many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be private in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.

Judy (Hayes) Flawd, 83, of Columbia, formerly of Kloss Drive, Lancaster, PA, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was married to the late Clyde F. Flawd for fifty-nine years. They were married on June 18, 1955.

Born July 28, 1933 in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene W. and Evelyn R. (Slick) Hayes. Judy was a 1951 graduate from McCaskey High School. A homemaker, she loved camping and getting together with her siblings to play games.

Judy is survived by a son, David E. (Condessa) Flawd of Lancaster; a daughter, Tracey F. Heistand of Sarver, PA; two brothers, Jere (Carol) Hayes of Mount Joy, Tink (Bonnie) Hayes of Mountville; two sisters, Deb Hayes of Lancaster, Connie (Jack) Brubaker of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Darren M. and Mariah S. Flawd; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Remembrances can be made in Judy's memory to Alzheimer's Disease Research, BrightFocus Foundation, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871, www.brightfocus.org.
