Hazel L. French of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at the Westview Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on June 30, 1913, in Dubois County, IN, she was the daughter of James E. and Nancy Ann (Zeaks) Farris. She first married Paul George, who was killed in World War II. She married Archie French on June 21, 1957, and he died January 21, 1979.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Belle Thompson, Catherine Gratzer, and two in infancy; and two brothers, Earl and Homer William Farris.

She was a homemaker and of Protestant faith.

Services for Hazel French will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
