Frank Farnsworth died on Sunday, May 29, at the home of Howard Zwanziger in Polk township, following an illness that extended over a period of three years.

Mr. Farnsworth was born in Bremer county on June 23, 1858, Hence he would have been 69 years old had he lived another month. Most of his life was spent in Bremer county. For many years he worked for the late George R. Taylor. Then he lived in Dubuque for several years.

He was a brother-in-law of James Lemon of this city and an uncle of Mrs. Howard Zwanziger, Mrs. Walter Miller, Mrs. Sam Norman, of this vicinity; Charles Lemon, Lime Springs, Ia., and Mattie Larson, Oregon, Wis. He has two brothers living in the state of Washington.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Koch funeral chapel. Rev. Benschoten of Fairbank officiated. Burial was in the family lot in the Shell Rock cemetrey [sic]."
