"Mrs. Laura Hastings Dies At Age Of 88
Mrs. Laura F. Hastings, 88, formerly of 38 North Second street, Lewisburg, died at 10 p.m. Friday at the Baker Nursing Home, Hartleton, where she had been a guest ten months.

Mrs. Hastings was born July 11, 1865, in Jersey Shore, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Derr Farnsworth. She was married to Fred E. Hastings, who died in January of last year. The couple has resided in Lewisburg for over 40 years, and she entered the Baker home shortly after her husband's death, She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lewisburg.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, The couple had no children, and Mrs. Hastings was the last member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond C. Erdley funeral home, Lewisburg, with her pastor, the Rev. Peter J. Westra, officiating. Interment will be in Jersey Shore cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m."
