Mrs. Florence M. Zahm, seventy-five, widow of J. Albert Zahm, 633 East End Ave., died today at 6:45 a.m. at her home after a prolonged illness. A lifetime resident of Lancaster, she was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Ever Ready Gleaners Class of the church. Her parents were the late John and Abbie Shoemaker Evans. Surviving are two step-sons, J. Charles and J. Perry Zahm, both of Lancaster; two step daughters, Marguerite Z., wife of H. Paul Rutter, Lancaster; and Miss M. Elizabeth Zahm, at home; also three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a sister, Margaret E., wife of Phillip Smedley, Philadelphia; and two brothers, C. Norman Evans and E. Melvin Evans, both of Lancaster. (Lancaster New Era - Jan 12, 1965)
