"Lawrence H. Emmons, age 77 years, of Sergeantsville, NJ, died on July 24, 1996 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born in Raven Rock, NJ on June 4, 1919, he was the son of the late George Emmons and Rosa Mae Shaw Emmons. Mr. Emmons was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945. He then worked as the postmaster in Sergeantsville, retiring in 1981. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Eva Lambert Emmons, their children, grandchildren, and many other relatives. Interment in Rosemont Cemetery, Route 519, Rosemont, NJ."

RARITAN TWP. -- Eva S. Emmons died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, in Independence Manor here, where she had recently resided. She was 90.

Born in Ringoes on April 10, 1921, a daughter of Frank and Marion Brewer Lambert, she had resided in Hunterdon County all her life.

A homemaker, she was also formerly employed by the Locktown Sweater Shop for several years.

She was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church, Locktown.

Her husband, Lawrence Emmons, died in 1996, a sister, Doris Culberson, died in 2000, and a brother, Orville Lambert, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011.

Surviving are a daughter, Wendy Krachun of Somerville; a son, Barry L. Emmons of Milford; a sister, Alice Everitt of Ringoes; a brother, Thomas Lambert of Stockton; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services: Funeral services Thursday, Sept. 8, 10 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington, followed by burial in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont. Calling hours Wednesday 7-9 p.m.
