THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 21 Dec 1954, Tuesday

Paul Clifford Kerk, president of J. Bishop and Co., manufacturers of surgical instruments at Malvern, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital, West Chester. He was 59.

Mr. Kerk who lived at Valley Forge and Baptist roads, Devon, collapsed while attending a football dinner of the Tredyffrin-Easttown High School Dec 9. He was a sports enthusiast and annually presented a trophy to a member of the Chesmont League.

He was a former president of the Malvern National Bank and the Manufacturing Surgical Trade Union. He belonged to the St. David's Golf Club and the Malvern Gun Club.

Mr. Kerk is survived by his wife, Edythe Donahue; two sons, William H. of Kansas City, MO; Stanley C. of San Francisco; a sister, Mrs. James Ives, of St. David's, and a brother, Stanley of San Francisco. Funeral services will be private at 11:00 am tomorrow from Maugers Funeral Home, Malverm.
