Bob was a strong supporter of Woodburn and on the council and served as Mayor for many years. He was active in Veterans Affairs and the American Legion. Bob farmed after their marriage and worked at Myer's Ford Garage in Osceola. He then owned Wright Feed and Fertilizer in Woodburn in the 1970's. Bob was later a realtor with Westgate Realty and part owner of Ace Realty. He passed away on May 2, 1993, and is buried at the Woodburn Cemetery.

Phyllis Elaine Wright, daughter of Loren Wesley Davis and Viola Floy (Heston) Davis was born March 4, 1929 at the family farm in Woodburn, Iowa and passed from this life December 6, 2010 at the home of Daryl & Ronda Nerness in Osceola, Iowa at 81 years of age.

Phyllis graduated from Woodburn High School in 1946 and worked at Robinson's in Osceola for three years. She married Robert Lincoln "Bob" Wright on January 29, 1950 at Osceola. They farmed after their marriage and later moved into Woodburn, where Bob was Mayor for many years and operated Wright Feed and Fertilizer. Phyllis spent the majority of her life in Woodburn. She worked at the Woodburn Post office, first as a clerk in the '60's, as officer in charge in the early '70's and then postmaster in Woodburn from 1974 until her retirement in 1990.

Phyllis enjoyed her flowers and trips to Ellis's Greenhouse, also her weekly trips out to shop. She loved to venture out to dinner, go to rodeos in the summer to see her grandkids; and take occasional trip to the farm to see the cattle. She also volunteered many hours at the Woodburn Community Center, helping with special luncheons over the years. However, her grandchildren were truly her greatest joy.

Those relatives who preceded Phyllis in death were her parents; husband Robert in 1993; and brother, Darrell Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, and sisters-in-law.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Ronda and Daryl Nerness and their staff for the wonderful care they provided to Phyllis for the past fourteen months and also to Hospice of Central Iowa in Osceola.
