Mrs. Nancy J. Curtin Eakin, 72, of RD3, Wild Cherry Road, died at her residence at 3 a.m. on Nov. 23, 1989, after suffering an apparent heart attack.
She was born in Curtin, Pa., on Oct. 28, 1917, to Hugh Laird and Thomazine Potter Curtin.
Her husband, Edward George Eakin was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Nancy Jane) Mitzman of Long Island, N.Y.; two sons, Edward of Worthington, Ohio, and George of New Castle; three sisters, Mary Young of Philadelphia, Eliza Yeager of Bellefonte, Pa., and Thomazine Weinstein of State College, Pa.; a brother, George Potter Curtin of Clifton, Va.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; James and Hugh Curtin.
Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. tomorrow at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road.
Funeral services will be at Cunningham Funeral Home, New Castle.
Graveside services will be held at Bald Eagle Cemetery, Curtin, Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Canon James Trost officiating.
