"Alfred Mueller
West Point - Alfred (Butch) Mueller, 71, of St. Paul, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Mr Mueller was born June 8, 1912, in St. Paul and was a lifelong resident of the community. He owned and operated a machine shop in St. Paul where he was a member of St. James Catholic church.
On Oct. 19, 1940, in Bussey, Iowa, he married Mary Ellen Ford, who precedded him in death April 17, 1962.
He is survived by five sons, Don, David, Darrell and Frank, all of Fort Madison and Mike of Burlington; three daughters, Mrs. John (Betty) Boughton and Mrs. David (Barbara) Brockett, both of Burlington and Mrs. Danny (Kathleen) Sweezer of West Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Irene) Heyland of Burlington and Mrs. Francis (Generose) Jettemeyer of Tampa, Fla. and 19 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. His parents were Adam and Mary Fritzjunker Mueller.
Funeral services will be at 10:30a.m. Friday in St. James church in St. Paul with the Rev. Robert Striegel officiating. Burial will be in St. James cemetery in St. Paul.
The body is at the Link Funeral Home in West Point where friends may call anytime Thursday and where the rosary will be recited at 3 Thursday afternoon and at 8:15 Thursday evening by the parish.
A memorial is being established with St. James church. Contributions may be made at the Link Funeral Home."

WEST POINT - Mrs. Alfred C (Mary Ellen)Ford Mueller, 59, of St. Paul, died at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 1982, in the Keokuk Convalescent Center. She had been in failing health for one month.
Mrs. Mueller was born January 20, 1923, in Bussey, Iowa. She had been a resident of St. Paul for 42 years.
She and Alfred Mueller were married October 10, 1940, at Alphonsus Church, Mt. Pleasant Iowa. He survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Don of West Burlington, Mike of Burlington, David, Darrell and Frank, all of Fort Madison; three daughters, Mrs. John (Betty) Boughton, Burlington, Mrs. David (Barbara) Brockett, also of Burlington and Mrs. Don (Kathy) Sweezer of West Burlington; a brother, Francis Ford of Bussey; a sister Mrs. Elmer "Sam" (Agnes) Little of Lovilia, Iowa; and 19 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother. Her parents were Orville and Anna Lamar Ford.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church, in St. Paul, with the Rev. Jerry Stouvenel officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. The body is at the Link Funeral Home in West Point where the rosary will be recited at 8 this evening.
A memorial is being established with the St. James Church. Contributions may be made at the Link Funeral Home.
