Thomas Bannister Morris was my 3rd great grandfather. He married Sarah (Serena) Dodson in Kentucky. 1830, 1840 & 1850 census they lived in Graves County Kentucky. By 1860 they lived in Van Zandt County Texas in what is now called "China Grove Community" near the Van Zandt/Henderson County line. They had at least 9 children...W.T., A, Lucy Ann, Melissa, Rev Elijah Newton, Rev John Polk, Lucinda, T.B., and Nancy Katherine.

Thomas Bannister and his wife Sarah (Serena) are both buried in Morris Cemetery.
