DEATHS DURING THE WEEK

James M. Crooke, a resident of this city, about fifteen years ago, died last Tuesday at his home in Birmingham, Alabama. He was fifty four years old and leaves a wife. He was a photographer by occupation and was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Mollie Kemper, 1627 Main Street.

The body was brought to this city and was taken to Lottich Brothers' undertaking establishment. The funeral services were held at the grave at Fairview Cemetery, the Rev. B. N. Simpson, pastor of Central Christian Church officiating.

J. M. Crook, well known in this city, for a long while foreman of the Commercial (newspaper) office during the proprietorship of Mr. J. V. Smith,; father of Dean and Charlie Crook, died in Birmingham, Alabama recently.

The body was brought to New Albany for burial.
