Glick-Conger
On Wednesday, April 8, at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Conger, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Mabel, to Mr. Frank P. Glick, son of Daniel Glick.
At twelve o'clock the strains of the wedding march, played by Miss Edith Conger, sister of the bride, announced the arrival of the bridal party led by Rev. C. E. Coggeshall, pastor of the M. E. church of Cincinnati, and attended by Mr. Fred Conger and Miss Icy Shriver.
After the words spoken by Rev. Coggeshall which united these prominent young people in the holy bonds of wedlock, and then receiving congratulations from relatives and friends, they repaired to the dining room, where an elegant dinner was served.
The bride was beautifully attired in white silk, while the groom wore the conventional black, and the bridesmaid, Miss Shriver, wearing a most appropriate gown of cream silk mill.
Mrs. Glick is one of Appanoose county's most prominent young ladies and for the past year has been one of the most diligent Sunday school teachers of the church above mentioned.
Mr. Glick has been in LaFayette, Colo., during the past winter, having been engaged in the mining districts, to which place he will take his bride where he has a home in readiness for their arrival.
They received many beautiful and useful presents, which will be tokens of love and friendship in their new home.
Those present were: M.r and Mrs. J. N. McCollum, Mr. and Mrs. Phipp Wells and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Well and daughter Sadie, Miss Erma Glick, Mr. James Livingood, Mr. Ora and Miss Esta Fisk, Centerville; Mr. Lloyde Luse, Moravia; Clyde and Bessie Conger, Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCollum, Misses Lola Hoover and Edna Banta, Cincinnati; Mr. Roy and Miss Icy Shriver, Allerton.
We join with them in wishing them joy and happiness through life.
One Present.
