"J. Frank Church, 61, of McPherson, Kan., died of a heart attack Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Last Chance Church in Lucas County, with burial in Last Chance Cemetery.

Mr. Church was born in Lucas County and lived in Des Moines 20 years before moving to Kansas seven years ago. He was a warehouseman for Farmland Industries Inc., an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Hawkeye Booster Club and McPherson American Legion.

Surviving are a son, Danny of Iowa City; a brother, Larry of Des Moines; and a sister, Fern Enterline of Lucas.

Friends may call all day today at Hutchinson Funeral Home in Humeston, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m."
