Estelle Viola "Stella" was born to Amelia (Stoll) & Thomas Jefferson Clay on 17 July 1887. Her older sister was Nellie and her younger sister was Nora. She had one other sibling that didn't survive birth or childhood and it is unknown just when that child was born. Her parents divorced. She had half siblings through both of her parents.

In 1900 Census, Stella is with her mother and step-father and is listed with the incorrect surname of Noy (sic Noe; actually Clay) at Higginsville, Lafayette Co., MO

Estella became engaged to Guy L Davis. They were the last couple to get a marriage licence in the Cooweescoowee District of the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory on statehood day 16 Nov 1907 at Wagoner. They married the following day 17 Nov 1907 at Wagoner, Wagoner Co., OK. The service was performed by Methodist Minister A. L. Snyder.

They appear in the 1910 Fed Census at Inola, Rogers Co., OK.

They became the parents of James William Davis 24 Sep 1912, born at Inola, Rogers Co., OK. They took to raise their niece, Inez Ozborne, the child of Estella's sister Lenora (Clay) & brother in law William J Ozborne. They considered her their daughter.

In 1920, they are at Boynton, Muskogee Co., OK for the Federal Census. In 1930 & 1940 they are in Inola, Rogers Co., OK

They moved to Dewey, Washington Co., OK in 1950. They attended the Methodist Church there. In 1957, they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Guy predeceased Stella in 1960.
