— NORTHUMBERLAND — Theodore E. "Ted" Krumbine, 61, of 133 Starook Road, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at his residence. He had been in ill health for the past three years and was periodically hospitalized at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Dec. 12, 1948, in Sunbury, a son of the late Ivan E. and Elizabeth (Miller) Krumbine. On July 11, 1970 in Trinity United Methodist Church, Northumberland, he married the former Sharyn Champion, who survives.
He attended Shikellamy High School and earned his GED in 1970. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Medal.
Ted was employed as a truck driver for Montour Oil and also drove for Mary McIntosh, and was previously an agent for Prudential Insurance.
Ted enjoyed reading, gardening and his three Pomeranion pets.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Shannon M. and Ben Kerstetter, of Mount Pleasant Mills; one son, Shawn E. Krumbine, at home; two granddaughters, Skiler and Nakiaya; three brothers, William, Ronald and Thomas Krumbine, all of Sunbury; one sister, Iva Jean Kipple, of Sunbury; five sisters-in-law, Ruth and Earl Naugle, Linda and George Wallace, and Brenda and Forrest Benner, all of Northumberland, Andrea and Barry Shoemaker, of Mifflinburg, and Karyn and David Cooke, of Danville; one brother-in-law, Jeffrey Champion, of Mount Pleasant Mills; several nieces and nephews; and his three companion Pomeranions, Angel, Gizmo and Puppy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, with the Rev. Michelle Beissel officiating.
