Dr. Otis A. Larimore and his wife, the former Gladys Campbell were married on Dec. 13, 1944. They moved to Carthage, Mo., where Dr. Larimore practiced Optometry and Gladys lovingly devoted her life to raising two daughters.

Gladys Maxine Campbell Larimore passed away on Oct. 13, 2008.

Gladys was born in Barry, Ill., on July 29, 1919, one of seven children. She attended Hannibal La Grange College and Western Illinois State College. After graduating she taught elementary school in Downer's Grove, Illinois.

Gladys and Dr. Otis A. Larimore married on Dec. 13, 1944. They moved to Carthage, Mo., where Dr. Larimore practiced Optometry and Gladys lovingly devoted her life to raising two daughters.

Gladys was a member of The First Baptist Church in Carthage where she attended the Dependable Sunday School Class. She was Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and member of the Social Order of Beauceant.

Gladys is survived by her two daughters Judith Ann MacMorran of St. Louis, Mo., Aliene Campbell Sparkman of Waxhaw, N.C., three grandchildren Christina Ann MacMorran, Jennifer Aliene MacMorran, Robert Douglas MacMorran, III all of the St. Louis, Mo., area and her sister Grace Hughes of Barry, Ill.

Gladys will be greatly missed by her family who will be forever grateful for her wisdom, friendship, generosity and love. May Gladys live for eternity in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, will be held at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.
