HAYES CENTER--Marion Florence Burkert, 89, died Thursday, (Dec. 2, 1993) at Imperial Manor Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 13, 1904, at Marion,NE to Frank and Esta S. (Matson) Wolverton. She had lived at the Imperial Manor since 1984. In 1927, she married David R. Burkert. She was a member of the Union Congregational Church of Hayes Center. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1972; her parents; three brothers, Archie, Casey, and Elza; and three sisters, Myrtle Yonker, Edith Land, and Eva Wright. Survivors include two sons, Keith Burkert and Twila of Hayes Center, and Kirby Burkert and wife Betty of Littleton, Colorado; one daughter, Corrine and husband Ted Jones of Claremore, Oklahoma; two brothers, Wayne Wolverton of Scottsbluff and Newman Wolverton and wife Hazel of Vancouver, Washington; one sister Beulah and husband Gene Imhof of Columbus; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial in the Hayes Center Cemetery.
