Max Bryant, 75, of Morning Sun, died Tuesday, July 15, at Burlington Medical Center.Born May 7, 1911, at Morning Sun, he was the son of George and Lula Wolverton Bryant. He married Eulalie Springsteen May 11, 1931, at Mediapolis. They made their home in Morning Sun.He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He retired in 1975 from custodial work for the Morning Sun Grade School. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.Surviving are his wife; two sons, Duane Max, Fayetteville, N.C., and Darrell, Morning Sun; one daughter, Deloris Noble, Wapello; three brothers, Walter, Cecil, and Kenneth, all of Morning Sun; four sisters, Irene Carpenter and Darlene Dean, both of Morning Sun, and Shirley Mae Haight and Maxine Hobbs, both of Mediapolis; 11 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Services for Mr. Bryant will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Morning Sun, with the Rev. Dick Clark officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.A memorial has been established.

Morning Sun, Iowa, May 13. -- Max Bryant and Miss Eulalie Springsteen were united in marriage at the Methodist parsonage in Mediapolis Thursday afternoon. Reverend H. W. Munster officiated, using the single-ring ceremony.

They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walsh of this place. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Springsteen of the Newport vicinity, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bryant of this place. Both are members of the graduating class of 1930 of the local high school. They will make their home in Morning Sun."
