Russell Irving Bellis, 42, a resident here since 1924, died at his home, 1019 Ocean Drive, at 11:30 a. m. yesterday after an illness of several months. Bellis was a member of the Bricklayer's Union Local No. 16. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Cage-Mills Chapel, the Rev. Lowell Ryan, pastor of the South Bluff Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the veterans' section of Seaside Memorial Park. Members of the Local No. 16 will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include Bellis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bellis of Corpus Christi; three brothers, L. J. Bellis of San Antonio and P. J. and H. O. Bellis of Corpus Christi; and a sister, Mrs. Edrie Rogers of Corpus Christi.
