Doyles Wayne Plunk

Doyles Wayne Plunk, 78, of Martin, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at his residence.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hazlewood officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery.
Ray Plunk, Mike Plunk, Keith Plunk, Chad Plunk, Ronald Plunk and Tony Plunk served as pallbearers.
Plunk was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Adamsville, son of the late Russell David and Scletta Walker Plunk. He was a United State Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and a mechanic superintendent for Time-D.C. Trucking Company. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bula Baker Plunk of Martin; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Doyle Ray and Verneda Plunk of Jackson, Michael DeWayne Plunk of Nashville, Keith Allen and Cathy Plunk of Rockmart, Ga., and Chad Brent and Allison Plunk of Brentwood; two brothers, Ronald Plunk of Martin and L. C. Plunk of Sharon; three sisters, Leatrice Copeland of Wilmington, N.D., Erlene Cantrell of Martin and Dorothy Leggins of Kingston; and six grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Plunk; and one sister, Davie Lee Ash.
