"Myrtle May Zabriskie, second child of Roy M. and Jessie Zabriskie, was born May 8, 1906, near Mount Vernon, S. D., and died at the home of her parents Aug. 15, 1909, aged 3 years, 3 months and 9 days, of anotic colitis. Besides other relatives she leaves to mourn her loss the parents and two little brothers, Milton and George.

The little voice is stilled
That did our hearts once cheer.
The little hands that mischief sought,
Will oft be missing here,
But an all wise Father thought it best
And we the loss must bear,
With patience we must run the race
Prepared to meet her there.
