Victoria Woolverton, 88

Victoria Woolverton, 88, who had resided many year at 203 N. Michigan Ave., Greensburg, died at her residence today, Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1989.

She was born March 8, 1900 in Greensburg, the daughter of Benjamin K. and Eliza T. Woolverton. Her father preceded her in death in 1946 and her mother in 1944. She was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church, the Psi Iota Xi sorority, the Lone Tree Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Historical Society of Decatur County.

She is survived by two nieces, Mary Ann McDonald, St. Paul, Ind., and Mrs. Morrie (Ruth) Self, Gainesville, Fla.; a nephew, Ed Woolverton, Placida, Fla., and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Wolverton, and a sister, Mary Swift.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Gilliland-Howe funeral Home, Greensburg, with the Rev. F. William Clemenson officiating.

Burial will be in South Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The family requests that memorials be in the form of donations to the Historical Society of Decatur County.
