WOOLVERTON Leo Richard Woolverton passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the age of 65. Beloved husband and best friend of 49 years to Karen "Kay" Younger Woolverton. Son of the late John and Estelinia Woolver-ton. Father of Jessica W. Levy (husband Shay) and Jan W. Lawson (husband Richard also Leo's best friend). Grandfather of Janalyn Lancaster, Julia Lancaster, Taylor Brown, Madison Levy, Jude Levy and Richard Lawson III. Great-grandfather of Trent Lawson. Brother of Leroy Woolverton and the late John Woolverton, Harry Woolverton, Joy Lambert, Carol Wanko. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. A native of Algiers, LA and a resident of Belle Chasse, LA for the past 30 years. He also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He was a member of the American Legion Post 218 as well as a member of the Krewe of Choctaw. He enjoyed and loved his family and friends as well as hunting and fishing. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a funeral service at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 12:00 noon.
