William was not present in his fether Tilman Wolverton's household at the time of the 1850 census. However, he is listed as a 10 year old in 1860 placing his year of birth in late 1850 ir early 1851. A note from William Clarence Wolverton inventory made of the cemetery about 1940 said that "William died at the age of 20 on the Wolverton farm".
