"Stanley (Special) - Funeral services for Stanley's oldest resident, R. S. Zabriskie, 86, will be conducted Tuesday, at 2 p. m. at the Zabriskie home. Burial will be in Stanley cemetery.

Mr. Zabriskie died Sunday at 9:30 p. m. at People's hospital in Independence.

He is survived by a son, Amos, of Durban, South Africa, and a brother Roy, Stanley. Also several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Zabriskie was born March 16, 1868, the son of A. C. and Mary Clute Zabriskie. He lived in Buchanan county and had been a resident of Stanley for many years.

His wife Ada Sells, whom he married Oct. 15, 1892, died Sept. 9, 1951."

"Stanley (Special) - Ada Mary Sells was born at Winthrop, June 24, 1879, the daughter of Leonard L. and Melissa Knight Sells.

She attended the county schools and, after graduating from Iowa State Normal School in Cedar Falls, Iowa, taught for several years in the county schools.

October 15, 1891, she was married in her parents home to R. S. Zabriskie of Stanley. They had one son, Amos, who, with his wife Sylvia Kivell Zabriskie, lives in Durban, Natal, South Africa, where he is a director of the International Harvester Company.

Mr. and Mrs. Zabriskie made their home in the Stanley vicinity and in the town of Stanley until her death on Sunday, Sept 9, 1951.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and a life long member of the Union church in Stanley.

Besides her humband and son, she is survived by one brother, Dr. B. B. Sells of Independence, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Union church in Stanley Tuesday, Sept. 11. Rev. Dikkers, pastor of the church officiated.

Interment was in Stanley cemetery."
