Charles Shoemaker, 88, Glenwood
Funeral services for Charles Shoemaker, 88, of Glenwood were held October 26 at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Ernest McClurkln officiated, with burial in Glenwood Cemetery. Mr. Shoemaker passed away October 23, 1991, in Council Bluffs.
He was born August 18, 1903, in Imogene. the son of Wilson and Iva Hill Shoemaker. He married Mabel Scott in 1934, and after her death, married Florence Reafleng in 1969.
Charles was a member of First Christian Church, the Glenwood Masonic Lodge, and the Glenwood International Order of Odd Fellows.
He was preceded in death by his wives and one sister. Survivors Include one sister, Stella Anderson of Essex, and two brothers. William Shoemaker of Lead Hill, Ark., and George Shoemaker of Omaha.
Nancy Wright was the vocalist at the funeral service. Pallbearers were Shirley Lincoln, Willard Stivers, Merrill
