"The Hawk Eye
June Ruth Rothlauf, 85, of Burlington, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2006, at her home.

Born March 10, 1921, in Chicago, she was the daughter of George Harlan and Ruth Mae Beaucock Wolverton. On August 7, 1939, she married Ralph A. Rothlauf in West Burlington. He died May 24, 1978.

Mrs. Rothlauf was a secretary for Dane Morgan Architect Industry.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She volunteered for the Cancer Society.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Ann (John) Nichols of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Dale Wolverton of Kimberling, Missouri, and Kenneth (Edith) Wolverton of Trinidad, Texas; one granddaughter, Chris (Barry) Runyon of West Des Moines; two great-grandchildren, Cody and Kyle of West Des Moines, Iowa; 18 nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one infant son.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel, where the family will be present to greet friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Rothlauf will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2006, at Prugh's Chapel, with Pastor Paul Hooks officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and GRMC Hospice."
