R.N. WOLVERTON DIES IN HOSPITAL

Robert N. Wolverton, 54, St.Paul, died at 8:20 a.m. today at Major Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past 13 months and seriously ill since April.

Mr. Wolverton was an employee of Chambers Aircraft Corp., until the time of his illness, and was a former plastering contractor in St.Paul and a member of the International Plasterers Union at Columbus.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Carmony Funeral Home in St. Paul, with Rev. Daniel Kapronyai officiating. Burial will be in Paul Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Wolverton was born Aug. 25, 1908 in St. Paul, a son of Leander and Rose (Dodds) Wolverton. On Nov. 30, 1935, he married Ruth Ross, who survives with two children, Roberta L. Wolverton at home and Stephan Wolverton of Muncie, and a son by a previous marriage, Robert B. Wolverton of Atlanta, Ga. A son, Melvin Wolverton preceded in death.

Also surviving are a brother, Norman H. Wolverton of St. Paul, and four grandchildren.

Ruth G.[should be R.]Wolverton, 81, of Sullivan, Ind., formerly of Shelbyville, died Thursday in Mary Sherman Hospital in Sullivan.

A daughter of Harry and America (White) Ross, she was born March 7, 1911 in Shelby County. She was director of nurses at Major Hospital, among others. She received her registered nurse degree from Marion General Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. at Paul Hill Cemetery in St. Paul with the Rev. William Horner officiating. Tennis Funeral Home in Sullivan is handling arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Stephen Wolverton, Greenville, N.C.; a daughter, Roberta Walkup-Hale, Sullivan; a sister, Mary Hoskins, Franklin; and five grandchildren. Her husband, Robert Wolverton, preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
